I’m a musician, producer, music teacher and audio engineer who grew up and currently lives on the land of the Tongva People, also known as the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. I like to play a wide range of instruments and also enjoy crafting audio entertainment in the form of radio plays and podcasts.
Along with writing and releasing my own music, I love sharing the gift of music with others through collaboration and teaching. Currently, I teach individual lessons and group instruction for guitar, piano, drums, bass, trumpet, saxophone, banjo, mandolin and ukulele, and I also love teaching songwriting and music production.
One of my guiding principles as a teacher is to help my students channel their natural creativity and prioritize what makes music fun for them. I like to focus more on expression rather than memorization, which I believe leads to a deeper connection with concepts of how music works and cultivates a lifelong relationship with learning.
As a beneficiary of accessible and affirming music education, I care deeply about creating a welcoming learning environment for LGBTQIA+ students and students of all cultural and social backgrounds. I love working with students of all ages, and particularly appreciate working with adults who are reconnecting with an instrument from childhood or exploring a new instrument for the very first time.
No matter who you are or where you are in your music journey, there is a place for you and you are welcome here.
